Public Diplomacy Section

The office of Public Diplomacy is the press and cultural section of the Embassy. Its goal is to strengthen mutual understanding between the Sri Lankan and American people.

Programs address a wide variety of political, economic, social and cultural themes and include:

Press activities
Professional and academic exchange programs
Conferences
Seminars
Dissemination of information through the American Center Library
Collaboration with local universities and other educational institutions to promote American Studies and the teaching of English.
