U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees, and Migration to visit Sri Lanka

Colombo, July 23, 2009:  Eric P. Schwartz, the newly appointed United States Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees, and Migration will arrive in Sri Lanka on July 25.  Assistant Secretary Schwartz has worked with Sri Lanka before when he served as the UN Deputy Special Envoy for Tsunami Recovery from 2005 to 2007.  During his stay, he will visit the IDP camps in the north and meet with senior government officials and civil society representatives.
