MORE SRI LANKANS TRAVEL TO THE U.S.
Applicants should apply early for visas
Colombo, April 26, 2004: Many more Sri Lankans are applying for tourist and business visas to travel to the United States. The U.S. Embassy announced today that prospective travelers should apply early for visas to the U.S.
Applicants are requested to send non-immigrant visa application and interview request forms via fax to the U.S. Consulate, and may expect a response to their interview requests within two business days. All appointments will be scheduled by fax, reducing the number of personal visits that applicants must make to the U.S. Consulate.
Travelers should begin non-immigrant visa interview and issuance procedures six weeks or more in advance of proposed travel.
