U.S. CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION VISITS SRI LANKA
Colombo, April 14, 2004. On April 10-12 a bipartisan delegation from the U.S. House of Representatives made a brief visit to Sri Lanka.
The delegation was led by Representative David Dreier, a Republican from California who serves as Chairman of the House Rules Committee. Traveling with Congressman Dreier were Representative Karen McCarthy, a Democrat from Missouri, and Representative Grace F. Napolitano, a Democrat from California.
While in Colombo the delegation called on Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister, Mahinda Rajapaksa, at Temple Trees.
